Random act of cancelling my order

Same thing happened to me this week, left them a message and the emailed and called me back to FIX this glithch. Sad first thing people do is tell the world about their problems.

CanAm has always been great to deal with

How hard can it be to bring your total up to 200 bucks? And get free shipping. I do it all the time. You autta see my arsenal of AR pens.;)

That's happened to me when I entered the incorrect credit card #. The message should also say it if that's the problem. I just emailed back with correct infor

On a similar note, I ordered an item from another sponsor of this site, excitedly opened the package to find it was incorrect.
Disappointing but not the end of the world.
I sent an email explaining the issue and asked for info on how it could be corrected, when there was no response, I phoned and and spoke to one of the guys there and explained what had happened.
He immediately apologized for the mix-up and offered to ship out the right item to me right away, he also advised that I should ship back the wrong item and he would reimburse me for the shipping costs.
It doesn't get better than that and took all of five minutes on the phone.
This is the real world and sometimes stuff like this happens, those who choose to post a complaint without first following a few cursory steps to contact the business and provide them with an opportunity to correct a mistake are the kind of customers most businesses don't need.

So I placed an order on May 26, filling in my credit card and shipping info. I received an email as follows:

Then I never heard anything until today when I got this email.

Okay, so (a) I certainly did not request the order to be cancelled, (b) I paid at the time I made the order (gave you all my credit card info and shipping and billing addresses), and never heard anything from you that the payment did not go through or that I needed to pay again or that I made a mistake entering my info (I didn't receive any emails in between), and (c) you don't need my PAL to send me two magazines.

So what's the deal?

Same thing happened to me. Web site issues?

I keep hearing how good and awesome CanAm is, yet threads continually pop up of their system not working / being broken, etc. Myself being one of them.

If you post something about CanAm, (and this was not a negative post people, just facts) then everyone jumps to their side and defends them because they sell cheap ammo.

Companies aren't perfect, and yes, they'll fix the issue if you call them, but threads like these are legitimate customer issues they're having with their new system.

So this is not a complaint, but a question thread, and the question is: "So what's the deal?"

The answer is: "Only CanAm knows - ask them."

Phone them, they are good people, never had any problems.

I tried phoning them. Everytime I got a recording saying that they're too busy to answer the phone and to leave a message. So I tried to leave a message. It won't let you leave a message, it hangs up on you! So, I e-mailed and got a snarky response saying my credit card number was no good. Hmm....multiple orders in the past with no issues. I even got an original confirmation like the op did. I figured there was no problem. Until a week later (yes, 7 days later!), I wondered what the heck was going on with my order. No charge on my card and no e-mails to say that there was anything wrong. So I decided to log on and see the status of my order. That is when I found out there was a problem.

Yes, Can-Am sells inexpensive ammo. Yes, Can-Am has serious issues with their web-site. I ended up cancelling my order and going to Trade-Ex instead. Sorry, but I will attempt to shop at Can-Am again, just not this time. Lesson learned.

Now flame away!

^This!!

I thought CGN had a policy that if you had not tried to resolve a complaint with a sponsor by dealing directly with them first they would delete the thread.

I had a complaint with another sponsor and they refunded my money after I contacted them as the product was defective. I didn't even return it by mail just sent in pics.

I think it's nice to know that someone is having a small issue since it's something that I can look out for if I ever deal with CanAm. If this is how you decide to contact them I don't have an issue with that but I could see you having the issue resolved faster if you dealt with them directly and posted the whole story here after.

Nope. Whiner.

EDIT: Notwithstanding the hurt feelings of several poor souls who have posted below, this is not a "complaint"; it is a question, as you can see, if you read it. I think it's a legitimate question, and in dealing with a company doing most of its business on the internet, probably most of it through CGN, I happen to think this is a legitimate place to ask that question. And no, it didn't take me longer to copy and paste these two emails than it would have to phone them.
