Range bag recommendations?

I have a 5.11 range bag that I like for the tidbits but I have an Uncle Mike's range bag that carries my rifle(s) and all of the gear that you've described perfectly. The Uncle Mike's can be the one and only bag that I take when shooting rifles.

good advice from those folks recommending tool bags from makita / husky etc.
Pros:
1. inexpensive
2. extremely durable
3. large capacity / extra large if desired is also available
4. provide a good disguise (less chances to attract attention)

cons:
If used for restricted guns you may need to figure out how to put a lock on it

I use something like this for the range, works great...........
It holds my spotting scope, bags, 3 pairs of muffs, paper targets, one of those bouncing ball targets, stapler and holsters. Seriously lots of space. It has a hard bottom to keep its shape. Got mine at a garage sale for $2 with some tools in it.

I have the 5.11 and it has been great. Lots of room with various sized pockets and sleeves. Removable portion in the center with compartments which is nice. I replaced a Tupperware bin with this so its a big upgrade for me, lol

I Also use a tool carring bag. Came with hard plastick little storage divided plastic box, useful for small parts, battery and little tools. Big enough for the Cadex Bipod, all the long range equipments, ammo, gong paint, rangefinder, sand bags etc... And with an elastic I secure the rolled shooting mat on it, so the rifle on the shoulder and this bag, and I am ready to walk to the shooting position!
Would be cool tho have a more "tacticool" range bag with the same capacity! found the "Red Rock Outdoor Gear Operations Duffle Bag" on amazon interesting!

I use medical bags. Big main compartment and plenty of medium and small pockets all around.

Like what medics have to carry O2 and whatnot?

Most O2 bags are a bit large, a standard trauma bag is a good fit. I keep a game changer bag in mine as well, fits perfectly in 18”X 7” main compartment along with rear bags.

Care to post a picture? I’m not a medic or a firefighter so I’d like to see your set up. I’ve got a Game Changer as well and it’s pretty big and heavy.

I once used a CED large range bag for IPSC pistol.
I have upgraded my setup for pistol, now makes a great rifle accessory setup bag.
Can carry 150 rounds, small rear bag, medium bag, laser thermometer, full cleaning kit without rod of course, solvents, oil, binder, ear muffs, hat, stapler, range finder, torque driver, scope cleaning kit, multi tools, Kestrel...
Just missing space for lab radar and spotting scope.

My main compartment is 18"L, 7"W, 12"H. You can get them in almost any color (even black) and the most affordable trauma bags can had through amazon.

That’s a pretty good setup. I got a pump pillow for chrostmas so will be needing even more space now. Thanks for the the trauma bag idea.

I’m currently working on a way to extend the foot print on this standard hand dolly. That way I can stack all my range stuff up and strap it in place and go. It includes a Cabela’s duck hunting bag which has pockets inside of pockets as well as zippered sections out the whazoo ! Makes a real nice range bag.

Firearms locked in hard cases , ammo locked in can , range bag , targets and gear to go .

I have a drag bag from Triad Tactical that carries my rifle and mags, spotter, kestrel, lrf, shooting mat, gloves, 50 round ammo box, wrist coach, data book, cleaning kit and rod. I have a Tac Taylor Malice pack that holds both my tripods, fat wrench and other tools, another 50 rounds of ammo, pump pillow and gamechanger, binos, tac table, water bottle, snack bars and rain pants. If I'm just going to teh range, that's what I bring. If I need more stuff like my mag speed, extra ammo or whatnot, that all goes in one of the dozen or so Osprey duffel bags I have. If I have to hike into my long range spot, The stuff in my drag bag gets split between the Malice pack and my battle belt, the rifle gets slung and off I go...
