Last outdoor match of the season I counted almost 40 of these parked on the range while the shooters were waiting for the competitor's briefing.
Seems to be the most popular option around here.

Sean, just want to clarify something. the last IPSC Shotgun match, the competitors using a Stroller or cart are required to make sure the muzzle is pointing up, even when mounted .

This happened fairly early on in CAS too. For anyone wondering the idea was you keep the muzzle up from the cart to the firing line and back without the possibility of sweeping anyone's feet, legs or worse.

You can put your shotgun in your 3-gun cart as you normally would.
But the shotgun has to be in a sleeve, like this one.

Just looking for some clarification, as I am looking to build a 3 gun stroller.
Is it ok for the AR and shotgun be in the cart Muzzle down or up?
The pic on page 1 with numerous carts show muzzle down, yet post above mentions muzzle up??

I built this one cheap ...make sure you get one that folds up for easier transporting .

You can do whatever you want.
But if the match or range you are going to has a specific requirement, you'll have to meet that to use it there.

Well I must say...first thought was the "Flintstones"... but on closer look it would suit my needs. And you say you can buy it? From where?

It has been a long time since I bought it, as a kit. I will try and lookup where I bought it for you. The beetle killed wood is even more beautiful in person.

I notice the guns in this pic all have some kind of chamber safety flag/insert to show the chamber is clear......Is this required when moving between stages?. or is this put in after shooting a stage("unload and show clear" command) to let other know gun is clear ???

That will depend on where and who you're shooting with. Some require flags, some don't.

Where are you going to be shooting 3 gun?

Just gearing up to try for first time here in Alberta.
I have thrown away probably two dozen of those plastic chamber flags over the years, they came with the guns new from factory and I thought I would never have a use for them, lol .
We never use them in IPSC, so I never put one in my range bag.....but I will now.

There are different handling standards in Alberta from place to place. Location and organizing group matters.

I'm pretty sure the IPSC rules state that for long guns, if the rifle or shotgun is cased/chamber flagged, it can be carried in the ATV type holders that most guys use with the muzzle pointing towards the ground. If you decide to put it in your cart uncased/chamber flagged, it must point straight up. These are the rules we followed last year at a Lev3 shotgun match.

Just bought an Ozark Trail folding wagon from Walmart, it's real tree camo and has wide wheels for easy rolling in sand . It cost 61 dollars and change online with free delivery to my local store

We require chamber flags at Buffalo Target Shooters (Kananaskis Homestead Range) for multi-gun events. In case we are in your neck of the woods.

We also want them pointing downwards... seems odd to have them pointing at the chest of the dude pushing the cart like in the other photos, but follow the site-specific rules as always.

cheers

I went golfing yesterday and rented a pull cart. It had big wheels and a sturdy base. While golfing, I was thinking that I could easily turn it in to a nice custom range cart with some wood. It seemed like an ideal starting point.
