Range closure notice - Target Sports

Good news!

Starting on monday, Oct 26, we will start installing the new lane dividers and target retrievers.

This will however mean that over the next 2-3 weeks, we will be operating at a reduced capacity.

Please be patient as this is the last phase of the renovations.

The good news is that after this phase, we will be going from 18 usable lanes to 25 usable lanes, including 2 benches for sitting rifle fire.

When are the range upgrades going to be done at Target Sports in Gormley Ont?

These are for Target Sports.

While we are working on the expansion in Calgary, it shouldn't impact the operations very much.

Thanks for the info. Might be a good idea to have had this posted on Target Sports website, Facebook page, and maybe emailed to all your members as well, since not everyone who uses the facility are on these forums (based on a comment from a fellow member at the range who wasn't aware you were down to one range and the ensuing wait times at range B).

You are completely correct. This is all on me. We are working out the bugs on the mailing for the new club, but I should have been way more proactive.

This will effect all users over the next couple of weeks.

Surprise! Took the day off today with a buddy and drove up to TS to find it closed for inventory! Seriously? I guess I'm just going to have to get into the habit of calling the day before each range visit.

Good to see the upgrades are progressing nicely.

Again, my screw up. I misread the email on closures and did not give you guys the heads up.

I do apologize and this is on me, not the staff. I said I would spread the word and missed it.

They will be awesome.

It took awhile but now Target Sports will have:

23 pistol lanes
2 rifle/pistol lanes
(Up from a usable 18)

New dividers with level 4 ballistic glass
New track target retrieval systems

New backstops
New baffles
New HVAC
New LED lighting

Same thing happened to me. I only live fifteen minutes away so it wasn't too bad. Hoping it is open today though.

The manufacturer sent the wrong brackets for everything.

Instead of this taking 2 weeks total, please expect the disruption to span an extra week or two max.
