About a month ago I received my ACR from Herron Arms. I had them change the original barrel to a Bartlein non-restricted stainless barrel chambered in .223.

Here is my ACR as modified by Heron Arms.
Great job! Actually, not a great job......a PERFECT job! Very very satisfied!!! Thank-you Ian!!!!
Ok....maybe the scope is a little overkill.....but I wanted to see what the rifle could do today.....

So I finally went to the range.... This is what it looked like.
100 yards. 55 grn Sierra Blitzking, handloaded with Varget. Ok, I`m not a pro.....but I sure had fun!!!

Love the rifle!!!!
:)

Thanx for feedback....always encouraging!

Barrel is AR style barrel. Very similar to original barrel but 2 inches longer and stainless (painted black).

Below is results at 200yrds. Its opening up a little....
I won`t make excuses but if I was.......the freakin guy beside me at the range was jumping all around and the tables are all connected......so stability was a concern here. But I`m not making excuses.....so forget I even said that. :)

Some nice 2moa shooting! Why did you decide to go with a flash hider and not a muzzle brake? How is the recoil impulse as the rifle stands?

These are very smooth shooting rifles, no brake needed. It's only a 223 after all.

As long as a sticky isn't locked anyone can post in it just like any other thread.

Here`s the thing about reclassifying......I waited and waited (about 1 month).....got tired and called them......just to be told, yep it`s no longer in our list of restricted under you. Apparently, because the long gun registry no longer exists, they just don`t send you any kind of acknowledgement. They just wipe it off their records.....Strange, but that's what they told me.

I will try heavy projectiles.....see how that shoots.......tks for the feedback.

Same thing when I had mine declassified, I waited and waited then got tired of waiting and called them and was told it is no longer on the registry so it's now non restricted. I guess that's just how they do it.
