well, took my 10/22 which I named "Beth" out today, and sighted her in for 50 yards. It was a blast, a pleasure to shoot, only jammed with Remington Yellowjackets, and that was just in the magazine, i even switched to a different magazine and every so many shots, the bullet's tip got stuck coming out.

Tried 4 different bullets, CCI Velocitors, Remington Yellow Jackets, Federal High Power, and Federal Bulk Pack 525 round box.

I will say the trigger can use work, but for a gopher/grouse gun, im happy, still have playing around to do with it, but i think im set on the CCI Velocitors, what do you guys think? all squares are 1 " on the targets.

here is Beth, my ###y 10/22..............

I must say i am pretty impressed being its the first time she was out on the range. I think the federal bulk is by far the worst, but still, gophers will be dead.

The gun got attention at thew range, as no one has seen one in person, and i truly believe i am the first person to own this particular 10/22 in Alberta.

Thanks for looking.

i take it its a keeper?

yes, this gun is out of the box, i gave the barrel a cleaning before i went to the range, all i added was the Busnell 1.5 - 4.5 Circle-X reticle scope. cleaned the barrel after every 20 rounds, and shot 3 random fouling shots before shooting groups again.

i take it its a keeper? its my first 10/22.

went to pheonix first, then after i left, went to my buds acerage to shoot down his 25 and 50 yard homemade range. And fire off some rounds in my .410 to see how it shoots. no wind between the haybales:D :D i started off at Pheonix to get boresighted, as i dont own one.:(

good shooting, especially considering you only had a 4.5x powered scope

too bad you paid 15.00$ for the 525 federal bulk pack, I paid 13.25$ at CDN tyre and I also found it shoots like shiit.

Looks like you definately have a keeper. Very nice groupings for a factory 10/22. Like your rig, mine loves CCI ammo. Unlike yours though, I had to buy aftermarket goodies to turn mine into a tack driver.

scope

i would love to put a higherpowred scope on it, but couldnt find one in Realtree Hardwoods.

i do like the low powered option, as grouse are always close range. and i dont shoot to many gophers past 50 yards with a 22lr
