Range or club to fire 45 75 BPCR near Vancouver? Or VI

I’m kind of new to this.
Interested in a BPCR. My local Rod and Gun used to have BP on outdoor range. Unfortunately NIMBY’s have shut it down to indoor only, Which is limited to 22 rim fire.
I would like to be able to shoot occasionally without having to travel to far, even if I have to use smokeless. Just to get used to it.
I expect for longer range! will have to go further afield anyhow.
I would also be interested in finding somewhere up Island or The interior BC where I could practice shooting it.
I got a long ways to go before I could enter a competition or hunt.
 
As far as I am aware PCDHFC in Coquitlam allows black powder every day. They also have dedicated BP shoots once a month I want to say. 200m outdoor rifle range.

Interior BC you can just shoot on crown land. Lots of places to go if you've got a 4x4, plenty of places to go even if you don't.

look into the 300 yard range in port, short of that you'll be jumping gates to shoot on the island
 
Mission District Rod and gun has a 300 range. There are a few BPCR shooters there. They have a silhouette range as well on it. When you join look up the Pres. he shoots BPCR and muzzleloaders. Further out you will have the Merritt and then Heffley ranges for longer BPCR.
 
At Heffley Creek the silhouette match is back on this year. Come out and give it a try. You'll learn more at a match than practicing by yourself. It's maybe 20 minutes past Kamloops.

Part of the equation is where are you located? Ferry fares are expensive. Victoria, Nanaimo and Port Alberni (WCR range) all have 200 yard ranges, with the WCR having some gongs farther out

SSI but spend a lot of time in Vancouver for family. So VI is definitely an option. Ferries just part of life living on an island. It can be a real pain but I’ve been there over 25 years.
I will start contacting some of them and asking about membership.
With a bit of luck, I think I just completed a deal on a nice sharps.
Now I’m in the process of figuring out how to get it here.
Dang it’s complicated.
Heffley Creek definitely sounds interesting. Not sure if I can be ready in time. Got a lot to figure out.

At the West Coast Rangers (WCR) in Port Alberni we have stands for paper targets out to 250m and gongs out to 600m we also have a 20 gong trail walk for cartridge.
 
WCR for sure. I've shot their range several times and the added benefit of being able to make a weekend of it would help with the ferry.
