I just purchased my new Beretta and got a chance to try it out at the range yesterday. Before purchasing I made sure to hold a few different types of pistols again to make sure it was the best fit. I was really happy with the way it felt in my hand - it feels very balanced and the grip is really comfortable.

I was able to shoot 6" groupings at 10 yards. Recoil was minimal. Trigger was fairly easy to pull. I was really happy with the Beretta overall.

This is my first time with a semi automatic 22 pistol, and only my third time shooting a handgun. Most of my experience is with a 22 rifle.

Here are some pics.....

Welcome and thanks for the review.

WHo was shooting into the baffles in the range above your head? LOL.

If you get your right hand higher on the backstrap/grip and then "fill the other side" with your left hand, it may not be as "comfortable" as you might like, but you will find yourself shooting better. You second picture shows a bit of a low and open grip IMHO.

Good for you though! And welcome to the club!

No shooting tips from me. Just a warm welcome !

Your timing is great since I was considering bying the same gun for my wife.

Welcome to CGN, and welcome to the handgun fraternity. Or sorority. :D
I've never fired the Neos, but I did try it for grip feel at the Kamloops WSS and found it to be a great "feel" in the hand. Nice pistol, if a tad swoopy in appearance for my taste. You seem to be able to hit what you're aiming at, too...

I was considering the Ruger MkIII because I liked the look of it better (the Neos is a bit 'spacemanish'), but I just didn't like the feel of it in my hand. So the Neos won.

Thanks for the welcomes as well as the shooting tips.

Looks like you got a slightly shorter one. Which length is it? I agree that they're really space-aged looking. Maybe a bit too much for me, though I guess the hand comfort thing kinda trumps all, doesn't it?

It's 4.5". It is the shorter one. And yes, hand comfort did kinda trump all. If you held it, you might just get past the look. Plus, it doesn't look so bad when you are shooting it :D

I had a chance to shoot the Neos and quite enjoyed it. It was my first time shooting a .22 handgun, and was surprisingly fun and accurate.

Congrats on the new pistol and have loads of fun shooting it!

Welcome to the forums!

What ammo have you fed it, thus far?

Can we get some pictures of the sights and such? :D

I used Federal on the weekend. I probably put more than 200 rounds through and only 2 didn't work.

I can post more pics later on this week. It is still 'living' at the range until I get my ATT today.

yyyyy <+1 on grip
And my range looks like that too. Some on the very first ceiling piece less than ten feet ahead of you. How could anybody A) be so stupid as to shoot a metal sheet at that distance purposefully or B) be so careless as to accidentally discharge their pistol up at a 30 degree angle?

Looks like a box of the Federal bulk .22, Wally-wonder.

You would be surprised what you see when you are on range.... Had one guy shoot up against the side wall into a pile of IPSC supplies last week after he was screwing around with his safety and not pointing the gun down range...

Never ceases to amaze me....

On another note.. welcome to the sport....

Welcome aboard, and thanks for your thoughts!
I sold my Inox as I really didn't like the trigger. Some regrets now, as it did feel nice in the hand and the "cool" factor was certainly there.
Enjoy your new firearm and take it out often!

At least it wasn't me shooting the ceiling!

Yes, as I said it is definitely Federal - from Crappy tire

Yeah, sorry, I hadn't even seen the second page at the time I posted.

I've found that ammo shoots just fine, even out of my super-finicky Sig Mosquito, but it is much dirtier than higher end .22LR (read: CCI) and mucks up the gun much faster. After about 200 rounds, I'll start to get the odd stovepipe, etc.

That's good to know! Might be worth investing a little extra to keep the gun a little cleaner!
