Eventually got it down to this

Going out again tomorrow and probably twice a week for the foreseeable future.

That's good to know! Might be worth investing a little extra to keep the gun a little cleaner!

Nothing wrong with the gun getting dirty faster if you're not planning on shooting much more than 200 rds at once, as long as you clean it after every shoot. I have the fortune of enough time to clean my shooters between every range visit.

Nice shooting and congrats on the new gun.

I've found that pretty much all the .22 is more dirty than centerfire cartridges. I pretty much have to clean my two .22 pistols at some point before 500 rounds even shooting CCI Standard Velocity. The other one likes CCI Blazer and I can usually get up a bit over 500 before that one needs cleaning.

The moral of the story is it pays to get comfy with doing fairly frequent strip downs and cleanings.

If you like your Neos shape look up the Whitney Wolverine. It's straight out of the Art Deco movement and I don't doubt was the inspiration for the Neos.

Cool, thanks for the link.

We took the Neos apart and cleaned it. It was fairly easy to take down and put back together, so that's good!

The case that came with it is kind of useless though.... you can't even put the cable trigger lock on that was provided and put the gun in the case.

You can use a cheapie screw type trigger lock on the Neos and then use the cable lock it included wrapped around the carry case handle. That is the only way I have found to use the factory case for transport.

I went out and bought a nice case with the foam, so now everything fits great!

Hoping to get back to the range this weekend!

I ended up buying catalog case, you know, one of those "triple thick" briefcases with compartments and code locks. Sometimes called "pilot brief case". There are so many little things you need at the firing line - targets, screwdrivers, staple gun, little tripod, spotting scope, ammo, muffs, glasses etc. Not to mention having a few handguns.

Stunning! How many of those are there around, you think? I'm going for my RPAL later this summer, and the Art-Deco-ness of that is just too much. I gotta find one.
