Well, I promised, and here it is.

I went out today and had a great day with RemingtonGuy and others at Orono.

Tried out the ATR among other things, and it was a mixed bag. very mixed.

The rifle fed well, shot well, had a clean trigger and was doing well in the accuracy department.
I was shooting a box of Remington UMC that was thrown in with the rifle.

All went well until the 4th from the last shot.
Bang,
bolt sticks at the top of travel.

i get it to budge, and open up. without a casing coming with it.

"stuck case..?" I figure.

oh well, i close it up, bag it and when I get back home, I gently bonk the casing out with a cleaning rod.
what falls out with it? the extractor.
it's busted.

so. in short, the gun shot well, but not for too many rounds

We'll see if Epps comes through in the warranty department, Not sure what standard practice is, as this is the only gun that's ever broke on me.

we'll see.

I hate to scare people away from a good deal. but what can I say. that's my experience with it.

here are a couple pics.

Take care, here's hoping I get store credit at least

unless its used its not really epps that you have to worry about with the warrenty, its mossburg. they will ship it off to the mossberg warrenty depot and wait for it to come back.

Epps got back to me, stating they can take it and send it to mossberg or I can.

not sure which I want to do.
i kind of just want to drop it off at epps. especially given my circumstances right now (MRI's just got back to work, moving around etc etc)

glad to hear from them that it's straightforward though..

how odd about the gun..
after less than 20 rounds too :S
