Range Report: Original Trapdoor, photos

Intresting Stuff Guys.
Id say Yes a longer Barrel would cause that higher FPS it sure makes a diffrence in a long or short pistol barrel.
Good to here Trapdoors are better than Sharps as ive had that gota get me a Sharps bug for years.
I can be happy with my Martini converted to 45 70 after reading this thread it shoots 2 .5 inch groups at 100 yds :)

Is it Cheating when your Antique action has a New Ruger 45 70 Barrel screwed onto it :D

The longer barrel can cause either higher or lower velocities depending on how far down it the powder burns. i.e with enough slow powder you should get higher Velocities and with less fast powder barrel friction could result in lower velocities.
