Range Report , PGW M15 , Clone M40A5

Quick question... The PGW night vision mount isn't in OD. Are people using Krylon or cerekoting them?

Very nice rifles! It is great when you can hang them on the wall like that to admire them when you are not on the range.

ask PGW they do cerakoting before shipping same sample colors they have , coyote tan , od green , grey sniper and ..

if you are building clone M40 , USMC order didn't ask for colors , they built snipers for wars not beauty , My guess is because they upgraded M40A3 colors didn't match or didn't care .

if you have no color , keep it that way , if you like to match the color of the NV rail to the stock order a new one from PGW cerakoted and sell what you have with new lower part at CGN
ig you want to cerakoting it ask Mcmillan to give you exact color code of OD green

It's a sort of greyish base primer colour. It looks decent as is. It actually looks ok with the OD stock. The more I think about it, the more I'm inclined to agree and just leave it.

After machining, the M40 accessory rails are sandblasted and then off for an aerospace hard anodizing. This treatment is extremely hard, if you take a flat file to it on a flat surface, it won't even scuff. This isn't a pretty decorative black finish with very low abrasion resistance.

Thanks for the info Steve. Also glad to see PGW still around! I did end up getting a pgw Coyote in 6.5 CM . It's part of my higher end 308/6.5 rifles collection. Would love to add a PGW Coyote 308 in tan Macmillan stock though... Hoping you guys continue to make great products. The newest PGW R700 footprint action looks pretty nice in Chatrbaz84's M40A5 replica.
