I was going to write some long, detailed report about the Knoxx COPstock, but I'll just cut to the chase; it virtually eliminates all recoil, looks great, and is built to last. Whether my brother-in-law was shooting (6'4" 250lbs.), myself (6' 180lbs.), or my sister, we all came to the same conclusion...this stock rocks. We shot it with target loads, 00 buckshot, and slugs. We shot it with the stock open, and we shot it with the stock closed. It didn't make a difference; it kicked ass either way. This thing must reduce the felt-recoil by at least 70-75%. While I don't have any quantitative data, I would guess that accuracy is much improved with this stock...far less wincing/twitching and far quicker follow-up shots. With my previous stock (Hogue 12" LOP), my sister had flat-out refused to shoot it anymore (using light target loads) because of the pain, and I was finding it rather uncomfortable also. With the COPstock, you could quite literally shoot for hours and never know you had been shooting a 12ga. Plus, the gun looks so damn cool! Only two regrets: first is that I never got a chance to shoot buckshot or slugs with the old stock, so I don't have anything to compare the COPstock to, but with this new stock, there was nothing even approaching discomfort when shooting these more potent loads. Second, I didn't have enough hearing protection to go around and I was the odd man out (see pic of me fleeing the noise!).
