Another scorcher of a day, but I couldn't bare to stare at my newly developed loads for that awesome looking M70 I purchased from MTM here in the EE forum. It was time to find out if she's more than a pretty face. This is the very first load that I tried, I have a few more to get through, but I wouldn't feel bad at all sticking with this for my Yukon moose this September.
Rifle: Winchester M70 XTR, topped with Leupold VXII 1-4x20mm atop Leupold rings and bases.
Ammo: Barnes 300gr. TSX, behind 60gr. IMR 4895 and CCI 250 primers. COL = 3.717" (0.075" off lands) apparently those TSX's like a slight jump to the lands.
Recoil, very acceptable. I love this gun
