I heard a rumour that there was a "range" starting up in the Swift Current area for PRS shooting maybe even out to 1500yrd. Can anyone confirm or deny such rumours? PM me if you prefer.

That makes one well running range near Nokomis that goes to 1400 yds, and now a second nascent range near Speedy Creek. Practically a half day's drive between them too.

I've been told there's a range North of Swift by the Sask Landing that stretches out there so it's possible.

There is a range north of Swift Current out to about 1000 yards (on private land i think). Sask Landing Long rifles club I believe it is called. Never been out there but I get the club emails. Doesn't sound like they do any PRS shooting but if enough people interested in it could become members, I think we could start something.

I'd love to see some Sask matches and there's Sask guys that make the trip for our matches in SE Alberta so I'd think there would be interest

There would be lots of interest for sure, if only people could find info on such a thing and it wasn't some dark held secret.

I’m a member of the SLLR range. It’s certified as a static range, the next certification is coming up this spring but I haven’t heard anything about it getting approved for PRS style shooting or any rumours as such.

There are multiple steel targets from 100 yards out to 930 yards.

That said, I’d love to have access to a PRS range within an hours drive, it looks like my kind of game.

Lots of great matches put on yearly in Alberta to try it out

I would love to work with a few people to set something up in Sask. I shot the two Taber matches last year and had a blast.

How do you go about becoming a member? I heard you have to be approved by membership at their AGM, but was never told when or where that meeting occurred. Maybe the few of us in this thread could connect and get some PRS shooting going out there.

Yes we would all like to know how to become members at said club! There's alot of interest for shooting this format in SK, the only other option I know of is either at Nokomis which is paper targets only or go onto private land which limits the firearms to non-restricted only.

With regards to SLLR club- it’s a small club on a private range on privately owned land. If you know a Current member that can sponsor you for an application, then you become a probationary member for 1 year. At the following years AGM you will be approved for full membership.

Looking for the land or owners willing to rent it out for a weekend. Have the means to acquire all the targets and other equipment required and willing to facilitate but can’t find the land for a range. If you find a land owner that loves to shoot long range and would be willing to let a group of insured, respectful like minded shooters have a match, let us know and we will set it up in Sask!
