Hi All,

Here is a target shot today at my club. All the data is on the target picture. Questions welcome.

Like I've said before, for a $400 pistol, that's not too bad at all !

Hogue grips and an LPA adjustable rear sight was added since acquisition of firearm.

BTW that is a 7 YARDS standard target, I didn't have any 20 Yard ones available at the time.

I have a question ... do you have a time machine ? The date on the target is May 8 but you posted it on May 6. Just kidding, nice shooting. :p

That is what happens when your watch battery has run out and you're my age when you reset it !!

Kidding asside, I didn't turn the calendar in my office..I was still on the April one. so Sunday April 8th was actually Sunday May 6th..

No, Hogue grips made for CZ 75..Perfect fit, no adjustments required.

Note the rear sight is from LPA, not stock. It's also an add-on to the pistol. Required only minor adjustment of the dovetail of the slide.

NP 40 grips and sights

Please give us the Hogue model number for the grips and the same for the sights. They look like a vast improvment on the Norinco items.

The grips are Hogue part #75000 @ $25USD.
Both Python357 and myself have the same pistols and customized them at the same time! (His shoots better than mine tho ;))

Sights I recommend to purchase the TPU85CX30 @ $64.95USD. We installed the TPU75CZ30 which work fine but on my pistol I am at max elevation for POI shooting. Python has maybe 3 clicks of elevation left on his NP40. The difference in the 2 sights (CZ85 and CZ75) is .022" higher sight on the CZ85 model, which would give you more leeway on the elevation.

These sights have been "discontinued" but PSI (the U.S. importer) still has stock. They are "LPA" sights, made in Italy and are of very high quality.

As for the installation proceedures, I'll leave that to Python as he did both pistols. I let him do HIS first tho :D

As for those Norc critics, I'd like to see them do better with an original CZ than the 20 yard target posted above... :D pretty darn good for a piece of Chinese "crap" eh!!!? :evil:

p.s. You can probably find the sights cheaper from a distributor ($48.95USD) but DON'T order from AJAX down in Texas. Their customer service is 100% CRAP. They jerked us around for 1 1/2 months and we ended up buying directly from the U.S. importing agent. Cost more, but we got them faster.

Most Canadian gun shops carry the Hogue grips for $29.95 - $34.95 CAN.

Old fixed sights were removed, then the new sights were installed by handfitting and filing the rear sight slide dovetail to accept the wider adjustable rear sight from LPA. If you're not a machinist or gunsmith by trade, don't try it. It will cost about 30-50$ to have it installed by someone competent..much cheaper than a rear slide or new replacement sight if you mess up.

Also, it is a lengthy and meticulous process as you must widen a few thousands of an inch at a time the dovetail while maintaining the proper mating angles. If you widen it too much, your new sight will be loose. If you try to tap it in and the dovenail has not been widened enough, the new sight will jam in the dovetail and you won't be able to center it properly in the dovetail.
Lastly, the base of the dovetail must be polished and re-blued to permit a smooth mating surface and rust protection.
