Range Test Results On Ceramic Plates Are In!

Surprised the 762x39 was more effective penetrating then the 223 ...... 31 cal opposed to 22 and slower etc etc

It says it was a steel core which would makes big difference. Also it appears they shot the same plate and it was .223 first, so maybe the integrity was compromised and possibly also played a part, but I could be wrong about that.

Its the 10grain penetrator that I wld be worried about on the greentip.

I wouldn't be, like the other comment about it being "AP" it's a common misconception, not even close. The penetrators is nothing but small bit of mild steel. I've shot a lot of green tip when they were actually cheaper then the 55 grain, and was never really impressed of it penetration, it does spark so ranges don't allow them because of fire safety.

Greentip punches thru almost all level III steel. I have shot 10k of it and am also familiar with it.

Ok can agree to disagree, either way this is for fun and we seem to share the excitement for these results, Im standing by lol.

I have some green tips on the way, and some spare lvl3 steel I use for my jogs.

I'd be happy to test it out myself one day, although I saw a faaaair number of videos on youtube of greentip NOT going through lvl3 steel....lol
