I ordered one in stainless, figure it'll be a perfect little camp and boat gun. I was planning a lightweight, compact build with irons and a detachable mag when I realised Ruger is already offering that.

I will guess you will want a better trigger.

So from my 100 meter zero I had to dial .7 mil

That puts my fps around 2540 with my areas info. 1100 ft above and weather added.

Factory Hornday 155steel match

Quoting Meatloaf: You took the words right outta my mouth! ha ha ha ha :)

What's not to like in this carry package?

Cheers,
Barney

PS: Jamie, thanks for hooking me on the short carry package, iron sighted, mag fed .308 addiction!

Your welcome lol.

I will start loading for it. I would some IMR4895 might get the speed up a tad

Came with the thread protector lol.

I mostly hunt from ground blinds so I wear my peltors

Awww, you traitor. Back in the day you were such a Rem 700 LTR loyalist. :) Looks like the Ruger is a good shooter though!

Still am lol I was looking for a AAC SD in 308 or 300 Blk But they did not have one. I still have Two 700's. My LTR got shot out and rebarreled to 260

I miss the LTR thread. Damn technology keeps marching on. I remember when the LTR was the bee's knees and guys were getting t-shirts made up. Now it is a quaint old shooter... sigh. That was back when Rugers were still considered hit or miss poo. Guess we are just getting old.
