I'm looking to replace a pair of leica geovids(the older HD-R model) that got stolen but can't justify spending thousands at this time. Does anyone have good experiences with budget(let's say sub-1500$) rangefinding binos. I've looked through a pair of vortex fury that were alright but the low-light clarity and field of view were disappointing. The warranty is great though.
Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on other brands

Have you tried going through your home insurance? You should be covered. Usually it's a $500 or $1000 deductible, but to be honest, since you know what the Leica's are like, you're not gonna be happy with anything in the price range you're looking at.

I looked into replacing them through insurance. It would be a 1000 deductible and my rates would go up for 3 years. Equalling more than the cost of new leicas. I realize I won't be able to get quite the same quality as leica but am just looking for the next best I suppose

Then I'd say to raise your budget a bit and pick up a used pair off the EE here. You should be able to find used Leica's for between $1500-$2000.

I agree.
You liked what you had and anything less will just make you wish you had
spent the $$ after waiting a bit longer to build the budget.
