This is to let your forum know that the business previously known as RPA International (this sounds a bit like Prince!) has been purchased by an asset sale by Rangemaster Precision Arms Limited (Rangemaster). The business will continue to operate from its S England location.

Some of you have made kind comments about the quality of our products and even, at times, our service. Rangemaster hopes to continue in this tradition and if possible to improve what we do.

It is our intention to honour all warranty claims for kit sold by RPA International.

We will not be at IWA, as due to recent events, it was inappropriate.

Thanks for your support, and sorry for those that hoped we would disappear from the marketplace. We believe that our products represent a good example of what the Brits do well, and we are proud of that tradition.

For the record:

1. There are no Directors of Rangemaster who were previously Directors of RPA International.

2. It was not an Administration, so there was no Pre Packing involved. It was a liquidation forced on RPA International by its bankers who were not prepared to give the company any more time to repay its loans.

3. Rangemaster works closely with all the previous suppliers of components to RPA Int. We wish to continue trading with these companies on the best of terms, and it is not in our interest to leave them high and dry financially.

4. Like in all failed businesses, there are many things which could and should have been done better over the past years. This applies to not only the previous managment of RPA International at the time of the liquidation; but also to those who left the company in recent years and now appear to be promoting kit which is confusing like our products. Naturally they have sought the advice of their lawyers on such IPR issues; money, which over the next months, will prove well spent.

Dear Sirs,

The supply of RPA items in Canada has been stronly influenced by the manner in which they have been distributed. Supply also impacts demand This has also affected their price relative to the many other choices on the market.

Furthermore, these have been marketed as an action for use in TR and Palma shooting, which is a sport very much in decline within Canada.

The success of RPA in Canada could be dramatically improved by using a dristributor with the means and the desire of stocking sufficient variety and quantity so as to create a viable choice for F-Class, Tactical and benchrest shooting.

What he said!!

I have an RPA action and 500gm trigger with a 32mm (1.25 inch) cylinder profile True Flite barrel attached.

I am planning to buy another for the next custom project. Just not sure that I can muster the patience for another custom from scratch.

I will not hesitate to recomend RPA products.
