Hello all
I just got into my possesion an old beat up model 60, the stock is cracked right in half and i can't find anywhere that might have one kicking around, so i send a shout out to u guys. Where abouts do u think i could find a used or even new stock? Im in bc, open to suggestions :)

Add some pins or dowels to boot!

You can try a WTB ad in the EE. Gunrunner100 used to have one listed. Possibly sold by now, but these are an abundant .22. Oughta be a good stock out there for you somewhere. If you're set on replacing, no harm can come from an attempted repair.

Mine (Cooey Repeater) was cracked from the forend all the way to about 1" into the pistol gripal area.

I cleaned out the crack, glued and expoxied the crack. I also put in about 6 #8 wood screws, secured them in there with epoxy or waterproof wood glue, and cut/filed the heads and protruding threaded ends off when the glue/epoxy set. I will get some pics up for you later. The Stock on mine was probably irreplaceable *age range of the stock is from 82 to 73 years old

It might be possible to rescue the poor old stock.

I was lucky in getting one without cracks .
When I refinished it , that thing was so dry it just kept absorbing oil for about a week . Not sure how many coats I put on it , but it should be good now for a long time .
Put an add in the EE . You might find a model 60 that's junked but has a good stock still for cheap .

this stock was remade by the guy that gave it to me, he used the wrong wood ( waaaaay to soft and it split down the middle when he tightend the nut up) so, the wood is garbage for a stock. Im pretty sure i don't want to even try and save it lol, it be done.
