Just wondering if anyone has any experience upland bird or any other kind of hunting with one of these Ranger XT3 Classics. Not too many semi-auto .410s out there, and this one looks reasonably well made and fun.

Interested in any thoughts.

So, in the absence of much feedback I've bought this thing. It looks to be of very good quality, with an especially nice walnut stock, though some of the metal (e.g. magazines, chokes) is obviously not higher-end. Nice weight at 6 lbs, and with the short barrel it should make for a good bush gun. Able to fire 2.5" and 3" shells. Fibre optic sights are nice, and it comes with a narrow Weaver-type rail for scope mounting. Feels very solid, and the geometry of the gun works well for my 6'3" frame. Looking forward to taking it to the range soon to learn more.

Thanks to the wonderfully knowledgable folks at MacDonald's Sporting Goods in Portage La Prairie for their assistance. Best price in the country for the XT3 Classic, near as I can tell. Old-school hunting/fishing store of a kind we don't see around much anymore.
