Nope; at least three of the ranges that I belong to (C&DTSA, MVMA and APSA) are open year round regardless of weather. Mind you, you won't see me out there when it's -30 C

Good lord man, TSE is only 20min away from you via Deerfoot so I dont think boo-hooing about how far away it is holds any water. Unless u are riding your bike or waiting for your mom to drive you over, it takes as much time to find a parking spot at WalMart!
There are a couple of indoor ranges in the north end and you are more than welcome to use your 22 at them. Pretty tuff to beat the TSE facility for safety/security. Ya it may cost a few bucks, but that stuff doesnt come cheap. Its a business, not a charity.
