Ranges in GTA

The guys at Ready Aim in Oakville were talking about starting up a range in Mississauga by the end of the year.
Has anyone heard any news on this?

Base Borden Rod and Gun?
Okay, here's the story on the CFB Borden Rod & Gun. There are 3 classes of member, Regular (active serving military personnel), Ordinary (ex-military), and Associate (civilian). Associate members must give 10 hrs. work per year to the club. Other than military personnel, the club only takes new member applications in the spring. The club has a cap, currently filled, on civilian members as they have to keep a certain ratio of civilian members to military members. It is highly regulated and gets 2 Sundays per month for the range. Mostly we shoot at the 100 yd. range but every 2 or 3 months we get to the long ranges for a shoot. The club is in a state of flux at present, with some regulations being added and others being overhauled. To make a long story short, it's very inexpensive, but extremely nit picky and hard to get into.

For point of future reference are both clubs kosher on personal ARs being used if members? I've been to TSC and shot off a couple of in house ARs but I haven't found in any threads as yet whether you can do this as a member.

Yes you can. Silverdale you can shoot whatever firearm you want to bring out for the most part at the propper range. The only thing they don't allow is buckshot. At TSC, it's only a 25m range but you can only shoot long rifles provided your rifle uses a caliber of fragmentation ammo that they carry at $2./rnd.

I wanted to check out burlington, as it seems to be the closest,, unfortunately this is what i got when i sent them an email.

Thank you for your interest in a membership with Range Burlington. All our monthly, New Member Safety Courses are now booked till the end of next year, that being 2014.

We are unable to maintain a waiting list of applicants that far into the future. As a result, your application will not be retained on file. Please re-apply after the first of September 2014.

Safety Director, Range Burlington

"...mostly interested in a rifle range..." There are no rifle clubs in TO. Closest will be Sharon in the NE or Guelph and Cambridge in the West. I think Burlington has an indoor rifle range too. Not sure.
I think Borden's club is handguns with some rifle. A membership is not limited to CF pers and if you do 8 hours of conservation work(at least that's what it was at one time) your nane is put into the draw for an on base deer licence. Biggest deer track I've ever seen was in the sand in the butts of one of the ranges. Lots of big deer running around Blackdown.
