Hi Gang.

Well, I'm moving back to BC. Anybody got any good tips on which clubs to join, and where?

I'm a reasonably active IPSC shooter, if you've been living under a rock, and hadn't heard :)

I'm hoping to live in Vancouver proper, but we'll see.

Cheers,

Dan

Your choices these days are Port Coquitlam & District Hunting and Fishing Club or Thompson Mountain Sportsman's Association. These are the only two clubs that are involved with IPSC at this time.

Membership costs are about the same for both clubs. Poco does have better facilities (ie running water & electricity) but TMSA is working on it... Poco has about 1500 members while TMSA has about 300. It's easier to get range time at TMSA.

I'm an active IPSC shooter and have been a member at both ranges. I'm currently only a member at TMSA due mainly to the fact that I can get access to the ranges pretty much any time. But you can check out both ranges and decide for yourself.

Other ranges to consider are Abbotsford, Langley & Mission. But like I said, they aren't doing any IPSC stuff at this time...

I'll be happy to give you a tour of Thompson Mtn or answer any questions you might have, just pm me when the time comes.

Are there any indoor ranges where a guy can at least keep his hand in in the off season?

"Off season" ? It's B.C., you should be able to shoot outdoors all year round :D We did when I lived on the coast.

Semiamoo (sp) Club. Never been there myself, but know a few people that shoot there and practice IPSC stuff apparently.
