Rant at gun store and how do I fix this?

Thank you.

It was not in Toronto or Mississauga. I don't want to give the name as I am aware it was my fault about the missing part. Disclosure at sale would have been nice. Learning sometimes hurts the wallet. Other people have had positive experiences and I don't want to be that guy who trashes businesses online, well, anymore than I have already have.

There is a gunsmith on site at this location and his/her shop is also on site. I can only blame them for the lack of service/follow up for my issue on the store. Simply stating it was a final sale and charging me to fix it would have been more acceptable.

Thank you all who have commented. I'll see what I can do and disclose if I have to sell.

Best.

That is pure horse feathers, any store selling a gun at any price point had better check the thing over for missing parts and for safety reasons, I can see not firing it if new, or what ever.

On a consignment sale, the store is the middle man and has no obligation to warrenty a pistol they do not own. Just like a private sale; due diligence.

If it’s the store I’m thinking of, good luck.
Southwest of mississauga? Not a site sponsor? If it’s the same store, I’ve had several problems where something or other needed to be ordered due to someone's screw up.

Anyway, never did get the right parts two years later.

I have found that the big box stores give the best warranty, avoid the mom and pop shops like the plague, any warranty is like you are stealing from there kids college fund. The box stores the warranty is a pass through cost to the manufacture, or the consignee, the mom and pop shops seam like they don't want the hassle or the time it takes to resolve the issue.

This is exactly why it's best to buy new if you're not experienced enough.

Welcome to the NutHouse..... :)
I must say based on your posts so far you have a rather civilized air about you and seem to have a good positive attitude!

Only one place I would go for 1911 work, Red Tower Armoury. Shawn knows 1911's. He can make a cheap Norinco 1911 action feel as smooth as a Springfield.
