Unfortunately I have seen the same thing up caribou hunting. At least myself didnt see as many over the years you have, but none the less, animals left there cuz people have the mentallity that, if I drive that far and spend that much, Im gonna shoot a monster. If its not what they want when they walk up to it, then they leave and move on to another animal. How hard can it be when it is literally pick the one you want and take that animal. Irritating none the less. Whats more unfortunate, is as soon as you mentioned all the cutbacks on the authorities, what they will do is each year NOT buy a tag, go out hunting, then if they harvest a decent animal, then they will buy a tag. Even if thats possible in ur area. Im pretty sure here in Ontario you can buy a buck tag right up until the end of December when the season ends.
