Rapid fire barrel warp

Pietta pps 50 manual (found online) says to not fire faster than 20 per minute, to avoid warping.

Guys on YouTube goin through drum mags like ammo is goin out of style. Mine came with a 30rd mag.

Should I heed warning or fire at will?

I strongly doubt you will ever heat the barrel of a rimfire to the point where warping becomes an issue. Cheap steel or bad advice is what's going on.

I really wouldn't be too concerned with it, although I've never owned one, I used to shoot my old repeater so much the barrel should have melted clean off.

Depends, I have a 275 round drum. I can get the barrel really really hot. Did this once, lesson learned and will take it easy from now on.

Do a search on 275 drum on rimfires please. There are two vids of me shooting bulk ammo.
