Here's some pictures of a little jem I found. I have seen these combat in shotgun books. It's a USGI issued 870 bayonet adaptor from the 80's. I don't think these are made any more. The bayonet slips over the end of a 18" barrel.

Maybe he could make the "old" version too, it looks interesting, a poll should determine if there's a demand for it.
It would make taking the barrel off a little easier and without tools.

i have 2 of them kicking around in my parts box.
the issues is that allmosy no ones barrle is the right size for the bayonet mounting ring, so you have to find a barrle that is long enough and then close in side to go into the ring on the barrle.
Thats not to even address the issue of strell on the barrle or having to put a very high front site.
But ues a very simple system if you have al lthose issues addressed.
