Rare Colt Bisley Been looking and now i got one (pics)

Well pre 1898 Colt Bisleys are supper hard to find.
This one is a smokeless frame model ser # 173000s
Made 1897 with the better colt steel.
Sweet gun this one will get set up like new as its a Numbers matching gun.
Theses are imposible to find pre 1898 this one has the two line barrel address which is rare to.
I thought you could just buy a SAA normal colt and attach Bisley trigger gard ane back strap but you cant the Bisley frame is compleatly diffrent than the SAA.
Once i get her all tuned up in 44 S&W will post better pics.
Gona keep this gun i figger being as this is a smokeless frame i might sell my pearl handled SAA in 44 sp that i swore id never sell.

you missed a nice one on GB last month. it was 32 or 38 s&w looked close to the same shape

I didnt want a 38 cal one i like 44 and 45 caliber colts.

I have seen a few Fakes listed to over the years just like SAAs theres alot about, a person needs to be carefull know what to look for.
Bisley barrels are marked diffrent than regular SAA barrels so you cant just swap and put any SAA barrel on theses.
Well you can there the same threads but then the gun wont be as orignal as useing the orignal 44 caliber bisley marked barrel.
