Rare find? Baikal mp-153

added photo to the OP.

Hopefully, the gas/choke wrench was included with the purchase. On mine, the difference between the 3 inch duck load setting and the light trap loads was about 2 turns of the gas sleeve.

it came with the box (they had assembled it which was nice), gas wrench, 3 chokes, a duck plug, the pictured soft case and the manual with this super useful diagram in it.

These are an excellent shotgun. Only thing that ever jammed mine was a combination of ultra-cold weather, lack of cleaning and thin-rimmed shells. Sometimes longer 3.5-inch shells didn't feed well either. But otherwise? BANG BANG BANG, dead ducks everywhere.

I find with the plug in I can't quite load three 2.3/4" shells, and have to leave one on the loader, a bit finicky but doable, just feel like I'm being stiffed on technically allowed capacity. I suppose I could 'modify' the plug...
Don't modify the plug. It's a specific length, which enables you to load two 3.5" shells into the mag tube BUT prevents you from loading three & keeps you in compliance with waterfowl rules... Total of 3 shells in the gun...

If you want to completely remove the plug you could, but don't forget to put it back in if you're going out water fowling!
