Rashid's bayonet mount

Hello!
Anyone knows why the removable protector at the front of Rashid's bayonet mount has a left-hand thread? And why the bayonet/sight mount is not mounted on the barrel like it is on the SKSes but at its end, more like an attachment?
Were there some other accessories made to be mounted at the muzzle on that left-hand thread?
EOS, any hints?

The most likely reason for the threaded muzzle protector was for the attachment of a BFA. I have not seen or heard of any references regarding other devices.

The sight housing/bayonet mount assembly acts also as a false muzzle to protect the crown.
