Ok right on it must be a misprint then cause it states 1 in 10...Thanks!
...i notice that in the Rem 700 CDL the twist rate is 10 ... ?
Can someone explain to me?
Thanks
Where did you notice this ( " misprint " ) ???
I don't think Remington used any thing other than 1/16.; If you are having a new barrel screwed on I suggest you try either 1/14 or 1/12. 1/14 does it for me.
I'm sure the carbine model is 1-10
OK! I was given the incorrect infoNo Bob its a 1:16 Twist
Yep - it does in my shooters. I've got three 35Whelens with 16 twists and two 350RemMags with the same twist. 250s - both spitzers and RNs - stabilize well in my experience at Whelen speeds. If 280s and 310s were on the regular menu I'd choose 14" or 12". Although my 16" twist 700classic seems to stabilize 286s OK as this 200 yd target suggests I think - http://35cal.com/images/targ286gr_200yd.jpg...so I'm sure it will work in a Whelen.
True enough....On the other hand not every one shoots heavy cast bullets
Thanks but I looked into that and I think that ship had sailed before I knew it was leaving. But I would have bought one probably. Also I wondered about whether or not they were actual Lyman moulds or some other makers....Swede may still have some spares on hand if one interests you.
