Rattle in my brand new m14

Hello, I just had my m14 delivered today, all I have done with it is stand it up to let the oil drain down before I clean it, when I picked it up from the box I noticed a solid rattle like noise, I shook it a couple of times and it sounds like something solid is very loose, is this a normal sound for a norc? Or am I going to have to tighten everything up when I take it out of the grease bag. Thanks in advance for your help.

It may just be your bolt not connected to the op rod or the spring guide is hanging out.
 
gas piston can be noisy -Do tilt test to see if is the same type of sound - see sticky above. bolt can make a bit of noise, front sling loop,maybe cleaning kit and multi tool in butt stock.??
 
Well the sling mount won't rattle until the sling is attached I think, they're just posts. I put a little electrical tape on my sling points and it makes less noise now.
 
No not yet, haven't opened the bag, I had to get to work. I wondered about the kit in buttstock but it seems to be coming from around the barrel.
