I suppose a feller could use the skill saw guide for a go, no go, gauge to check results after trimming.... I use a dial caliper or digital caliper. Lately on most calibers I am reloading,I tend to stay a couple o thou.longer than recommended case trim length. Never exceeding max case mind you but not attempting to trim to exactly recommended case trim length. The benefits are, more case life, less fiddling about setting case trimmer. Why trim perfectly good brass away? As long as a I am diligent checking and staying below max case length. Any thoughts?
