RC K98s at Fishing World... $599

I'm writing another Country Song about Mausers that were rode hard and put away wet...maybe I can use some of your words...

Let me know when you're finished. Going to drown my sorrows of missing out on the cheap milsurp days in a bottle of whiskey, your tune would be the soundtrack.

:D

"I bought the RC that she walked out on me with..." ?

"there's a tear in my beer 'cuz I'm krying for my Sauer, hot-dip is on my lonely mind..." ?

He rode his Donkey into Ottawa the other day,

He bought himself a rusty Russian,

K98,

He thought it was Great,

It shot fairly Straight,

They sell for $400 in the USA,

And $599 in Canada-Eh!,

(to be continued...)

I fired 45 rounds of S&B 196 grain FMJ down the barrel this afternoon. Stout stuff! The rifle is an excellent shooter and functions flawlessly. I hit the target every time at 50 metres after I figured out she was firing high (of course it would at that distance)... not bad for iron sights and a battle tested 70 year old barrel. When I do my part, I was getting 1.5 to 2 inch groups, but for the most part, I was just enjoying shooting it in sitting and standing position and nailing the target. Those barrels get GOOD AND HOT... for the first time in years, I actually burned my hand.
