Where did the recent RC P38's come from?

Secondly, how can the sellers justify the price?

I thought we had this talk a few weeks ago...if you search hard you can find a really nice standard issue WWII P38 all matching for $450-700 easily.

So how are the hawking off Soviet messed with pistols for $650 plus?

I have never handled a RC P38 before but I don't think the parts are swapped around as much as the Kar98ks were but simply electro penciled to match and the pistol itself "hot dipped" for the re-bluing process.

As you mentioned, many non RC P38s (CYQs for example) have sold at $500 and below so I can't see those RC P38s moving anytime soon.

SIR used to sell them when they first came in for $750 a pop! Worse, they had those godawful Century Arms import markings filling one side of the slide. Gross. Too bad, for half the price, and without that reprehensible graffitti all over them, they would have been a terrific deal. As it was, I worked there for a time, and they all sold! A fool and his money...
