I recently acquired a rcbs ammomaster from a friend. I am not familiar with this press, would a Hornady case activated powder drop work well in this press?
I don't think there is anything else missing but if someone sees something I would appreciate the help.

I'm not so sure that RCBS will know much about using a Hornady measure on their press.....

From looking at this you tube video on assembling the press and how it works with a total of three different bushings I'd say yes it will. But only because you have 5 die positions so you can do the flare and powder drop in different stations. If you only had 4 die stations you might need to combine the flaring and powder drop in one like I have to do with my Dillon 550b.

From the looks of the accessories sitting to one side it appears that you have a star wheel which can be used to convert to manual indexing. If you're new to reloading I'd strongly suggest you replace the twisted auto indexing rod installed at present with the manual star wheel. If something messes up the auto indexing results in a lot more confusion with sorting out the mess than having the shell plate sit politely in the last position.

And it'll depend on what you're familiar and comfortable with but I found that the best use of the beam balance scale I got was as a donor for the nifty little brass powder tray which I went on to use with my new digital scale. The old eyes just didn't do that well with the beam balance style option.

You're also going to want to use all three bolts and big washers with the press. As shown with only the one bolt holding it down you can expect the press to lift up when seating the primers and generally feel a bit "soft" on the handle due to flex in the desk top and only the one bolt.

And if the top is less than one inch thick I'd even suggest you use a 3/4 inch sturdy plywood sub plate under the desk to spread the load around into more of the top and reduce flexing even more. If you do this you'll feel things through the lever that would escape you otherwise.

Thanks For the info Rider. I am not new to reloading just new to the progressive side of things. I have a RCBS single stage which i will still use for rifle but just not practical for pistol. As for the bolts for mounting i just stuck the one in the back to strip it down and clean,There was already a hole there so i took advantage.
