When I first got that thing I was thinking god damn, how will this thing survive to repeated hits on the concrete floor? It's clear plastic, how can it possibly perform?
Well, I was wrong! this thing is fantastic! Very easy to pull bullets out, takes advantage of the physics of a lever. It's very handy for when you mess up and god knows I mess up, alot.
But all in all, very good product:D

NO IT'S NOT, THAT GOD DAMN PIECE OF GREEN PLASTIC BROKE DOWN IN THE SHAFT AFTER LESS THAN 200 PULLS

Anyone had to replace it? I've had it for over a year so I guess there aren't any kinds of warranty left on it...
What about those with an aluminum shaft, are they any better?

I broke my Dillon which is the same design, luckily I had a second and could continue but I am in the market for something better just like you.

One mine the head where the case is secured broke off and went flying when I hammered it. I hadn't even used it that much.

Yup! Bought my first one. Broke it no longer after. Bought another one, and broke it again. Not even 50 pulls. What a POS. The best solution would be to stop making mistakes.

Hit it on something solid. A Concrete floor is likely a bit much as you found out. I have pulled over 500 rounds with mine. Still in great shape. I smack it against a "York" 25 lbs weight. I bought a collet puller a year ago and pretty much ditched the inertia puller.

You're supposed to hit it on wood, NOT on a concrete floor!

it takes one moderate hit on concrete, whereas a dozen good hits on wood...

exactly what happened, I smacked it and the hammer head flew up and bounced onto my barefoot, I wouldn't be half as mad if it had just broken down

Most peopel breaking them are whacking the hell out of them on a concrete floor...

*HINT* The purpose isn't to see how hard you can hit the floor!

Just use a lazy swing, let it bounce back and let INERTIA do it's job, and it won't break.

I'm currently using a Franford Arsenal after the screw on tail cap on my RCBS broke after pulling somewhere between 100-200. I tried all sorts of glues and epoxy to repair it with no luck. I whack my pullers on a hockey puck that sits on a piece of wood on the floor. It usually takes a couple of 'spirited' hits.......

I like your description
I've had my RCBS hammer for years(around 25)

Exactly!

I broke mine - eventually, after years of use.

Called RCBS. They said to send it to them for replacement. I mentioned that I lived in Canada and they said not to bother, and sent me out a replacement free of charge. No receipt, nothing and years after I bought the tool. Great customer service.
