I just bought an RCBS Chargemaster 1500. I tried it out tonight and all I can say is... WOW.

If you reload and have the cash, buy this product without hesitation.

I did some test runs comparing the charges from the RCBS Chargemaster 1500 and my beam scale and it was dead on everytime.

Anyone out there who is on the fence regarding buying one, do it. You won't regret it.

I shudder to think of the HOURS I've spent over the last 23 years of reloading, setting my powder charge to 1 grain less and then tickling in powder to the correct level.

Why would drastically different powder charges make any difference?

I tested it with Varget, IMR 4895 and Win 748 from charges from 20 - 50- grains.

It was bang on everytime to 1/10 of a grain.
 
Oh, no. I meant loading small volume 9mm-type cases as well as magnum cases. From memory, it had to do with the target weight -X grains where you tell it to switch from high to slow speed.

I only use mine for 308, so it wasn't an issue. That sped things up quite a bit. The straw made it so that it wouldn't overthrow.

Chargemaster is a good unite, but not the best for longrange shooting to 1000y in F class that 1/10 grain can be 1/10 low and 1/10 high net differance can be 2/10 and more because it is often 2/10 out.
Load 5 rounds with say 46gr varget and 5 with 46.2gr at fire them at 1000 yards and just see how much verticale there is in 2/10th grains of powder.Then if you really want to see it try the 223 with 80 & 90 gr Bergers and see what 1/10 & 2/10, does to your verticale.You will looking for a good electronic scale

What is nice about changing the first 3 parameters is you can fine tune it for different weight charges. The parameters below are the factory settings so you can always go back to them. I just keep track on a piece of paper of each parameter for different weights.
HSB_A1 (15.68) Grains under target weight to go from full to high speed for low weight
HSB_B1 (3.42) Grains under target weight to go from high to slow speed low weight
BSP_C1 (1.08) Grains under target weight to go from slow to final trickle speed low weight
