so I have used a Lyman 1200 for a couple years, always seemed to be performing well but the last batch of 223 I noticed some cases were filled higher up the neck, so I weighed them and sure enough they were greater by 1.25 grains, did some more this time dispense a charge, pour it in the casing for visual then back into the scale, sure enough it was over by more than 1 grain 1 in 20, funny thing the scale reads the exact weight dispensed unless I remove charge off the scale so it can zero then weigh different for the same charge

now looking at options, RCBS seems to get a good review, what results are you seeing if you dispense the charge then re weigh is it consistent?

also where is the best price found on this unit? locally they range from high 500 to 625

thanks

I have the RCBS chargemaster and use it for most of my loading hunting and some target use. However for competition shooting I use the RCBS powder measure, a balance beam scale and powder trickler. The RCBS CM throws charges that can be a bit out usually no more than .2 of a grain. This variation only shows up on the balance beam scale.
Enjoy.

looking both in US and Canada the best I can do is Cabelas in US at 300 or BasPro Calgary, after shipping from US and taxes the saving is less than 30CDN dollars getting it from Calgary, when the dollar was even it sure was nice

yes saw that, to get the 75US rebate have to spend 300, it would save the 20 dollars but miss out on the rebate unless spend more money to qualify, with the shipping, taxes and fees its another 70 dollars and could not determine if there is also duty from Customs
