Rcbs chargemaster combo.

still only +- .1 grains.

The straw and reprogram help a lot, but to me, a 500$ machine that will only get to +- .1 is not worth it.

Only? To each his own, but I have no doubt that .1gn far exceed the reliability of what I'm doing now: measuring a charge on a 10/10 beam and throwing it from a volume-based dispenser, checking every 5th load.

I shoot levers and milsurps and hit stuff using iron sights. I don't see a rail gun or 2km shoot the middle out of a toonie competition in my future, so I'll never require that kind of detail.

Even then .1 of a grain of powder won't make a lick of difference. Say 308win with 165's 44.5gr of varget you won't even notice a difference between that or 44.6gr. The .1 of a gr of varget is 3 sticks of powder.

Aside from being a gun hugger I'm also a big watch nerd, and we have the same problem there too. People groaning about a difference in 2 seconds a month in accuracy.

It is what it is. I like that people are so passionate about the minutia of their hobbies, and simultaneously annoyed by complaining for the sake of complaining.

actually its more like 5 or 6 sticks of powder.... ;)

Oh well I made an happy guy when I sold my chargemaster combo for 150$ less and it was new.

I use 2 of them and they do work flawlessly. Two speeds it up so that one is charging cases almost as fast as a thrower..............I love mine and I check them every couple of weeks for accuracy and have never found them to be out.

Next time I see one for 269$ like the last one I got, I'm grabbing another. I hate how much "free" time I have between seating bullets and waiting.
