RCBS Chargemaster Combo

Just tryed my new RCBS Chargemaster Combo and have to say that it kicks ASS. If anyone is considerd getting one they are great. The only thing I dont like is the way you need to empty it out and dont forget to close it when you change powders (had some run out )

My RCBS Chargemaster has assisted me in spilling lots of powder on my loading bench, on the floor and anything else it can get into. They should have a spring loaded door on the powder spout or have an electronic lockout that prevents the system from working until the spout is closed. The readout screen should also say "CLOSE THE SPOUT DUMMY". To make is easier to find the "Dispense" button should change places with the "Enter" button. In spite of the foregoing it's the best powder dispenser I've ever owned and wouldn't trade it for the world .

I bought the Lyman some time ago, and am also very very happy I did.

Just like you guys, I've spilled powder forgetting to close the gate before refilling...

My only beef with the Lyman is that the tube that feeds the powder is about 3/4" above the very bottom of the hopper, meaning that it stops working before you're totally out of powder.

Otherwise, it's made my reloading time much more convenient.

Expensive, but worth every penny--I've only loaded 300 rounds or so with mine and I already can't imagine how I used to live w/o one.

I have the Chargemaster Combo as well, and it is getting a real workout this fall!! The best thing since sliced Bread IMHO. ( Oh yes, I forgot to close the gate once also!) Regards, Eagleye

I have had mine for over a year and a half and wouldn't be without one, and I haven't forgotten to close the dumping port so far.

I have started looking at the gate before filling up now.

It's pretty sweet. I find it takes about as long to dispense a charge as it takes to seat a bullet in the previous case, for the most part

Though it does take a while to trickle out 115 grain charges for the ole 378
