I love mine. It doesn't have near the features of the 1500 but it gets the job done at an easier to swallow price point. Mine appeared to have a break in time where the load cell was drifting heavier with consecutive charges. We're talking less than 2 tenths which isn't necessarily dangerous but it is not conducive to accuracy. After a couple hundred charges it settled down. The resolution is only 1 tenth grain and if the charge falls within that tenth the machine calls it good. That may be 41.59gr one charge and 41.51gr the next. The machine may see the difference but the screen only displays one tenth resolution. After the break in period however the charges got really consistent according to my trusty 5-0-5 often with every charge being bang on. The 505 only technically has one tenth resolution as well but the beam will show variations albeit without scaled measurement. Bottom line, watch the CM lite closely until it settles down. I now confirm every 10th charge on the 505 and find so little variation that it's almost a waste of time. It's a real time saver and makes plinking/practice rounds much more efficient to put together. It does take longer to drop a charge than it takes to seat a bullet but it is miles ahead of hand weighing if speed is more important than one hundredth accuracy. If really good match ammo is the goal I would step up to a much higher end dispenser or a good balance beam. If you don't need to split hairs the CM lite will work well for you.

In the past i have used a chargemaster to throw within 2/10th gr, placed the pan on my gempro and trickle. But then im incredibly anal with rifle charges.
Have used a chargemaster a great deal. In checking the charge, have only ever had it out 1/10th..... once. Ever, over thousands of rounds.
Makes me wonder how i ever managed without it. Of the time saving tools i have bought....frankford arsenal center....bench primer....tumbler.....Redding T7》》》》this would be the tool i would choose, if limited to only one.
Regarding the last sentence above. I actually have two CM1500 because of slow speed. Searching YouTube, you will find videos on how to speed up the programming. I also bought machined inserts here on the EE, to replace the infamous "McDonald's straw".....believe it was from LaurenceN, who you will find in my feedback.

I appreciate the heads up. The code only works for shipments in the USA. Converted it's $315ish - before shipping. They're going to slay me at the boarder again (it's my luck) and then the thing cost the same (or more) than here in Canada and will take 2 weeks to get it. Just being a Debbie downer, but the savings isn't enough to justify the hassle and possibility of getting slammed again at the border (yes it was shipped USPS and I called and confirmed)
