RCBS Chargemaster ya gotta be kidding me warranty

acrashb: I've had several items sent to RCBS for warranty adjustment. Bullet moulds and dies. In every instance an export permit came with the items on return. Perhaps the policy has been changed since my last dealing with them though.

Lee Precision Inc does the same thing. They told me to take a picture of the broken part and email it to them. Then they sent me a replacement part .... NO CHARGE!

This better than nothing. Spending a few hundred, then it dont work, then u cant get it fixed.... hey if they want a few dollars and box or pics of it in pieces, sure its on its way.

I bought an HDMI cable from a Canadian on-line computer store a few months ago, and when I got it it didn't work. I was very suspicious when the rep told me to cut the cable in half and send them a picture.

At first I thought maybe they wanted a picture of a cross-section of the cable to diagnose the problem (haha), took me about a day to realize they just wanted to make sure I got rid of the old one before sending me a replacement.

Definitely a fun return policy!

Well, so far anyway, I must be one of the lucky ones. The picture is a little cluttered but my ChargeMaster Combo is sitting on my reloading bench on the far left. I've had it for quite a while now and it's never missed a beat. I did keep my old Lyman powder measure and beam scale,;) just to check the Combo unit accuracy every once in a while.

Most of my reloading equipment is RCBS and this is because of their products and especially their customer service. Second to none. On the floor in the center of the picture is a fairly recently acquired AmmoMaster Chronograph that I plan to put to good use once the weather smartens up.

If RCBS recommends putting your unit "out of it's misery", your 458WM, even with Hornady 500gr RN:p.

same here,

they instructed me to cut the power cable, bent the rod and send them a picture.
Got a brandnew Case Cleaner to replace my 15 + year old one.

And best of all, I did not have to pay anything , not one cent.

RCBS really stands behind their products!

I have had a similar experience with the famous RCBS customer service. I stuck cases in TWO different RCBS dies, bent the de-capping stem and pin on both of them removing the case. Called them up looking to buy the parts and the fine gentlemen on the phone said "We have a special on those parts--today only!", the have sent me the parts no charge! Very impressed.

Got my BRAND NEW Chargemaster in the mail a bit over a month ago and fired it up for the first time last week. Guess what....the whole top row of keys on the thrower don't work

Called up RCBS and told them my sob story. Sorry sir, must be a bad one...send us a pic of it smashed and we'll get one in the mail to ya ASAP. LOVE these guys!! :dancingbanana:

Gotta say it was kinda hard to actually do it since it was brand new and it took a good 20 shots of the hammer to mess it up...LOL!

Nice video. I guess that's the distance you'd shoot a charging cape buffalo at anyways, so it's good practice. Good thing you had some factory ammo, be a PITA if you had to load some, but no working scale or powder measure.

Seems to be a lot of these things have gone south.
