So I had a few set screws strip on some of my RCBS dies.

I sent them a message about it at 1:00 in the morning, by 8:00am new ones were on the way. I mentioned i'd lost the nut on my bullet seater so they're sending one of those too.

Great company.

One time I had a bad expander ball on my 30-30 die. They sent me the whole rod assembly as well as half a dozen decap pins.

... all free of charge.

They've earned my business.

I replaced all of the lock rings on my RCBS dies with forster lock rings, the split ring holds tighter and there is no set screw to maul up the die body threads. The cheap brass set screws on the RCBS lock rings are less then stellar

That's what I like about the Dillon set-up.Once the dies are set you don't touch them. The whole plate comes out with dies attached.Bit more money for die plates but it's worth it to me not to re-set everytime I change calibers.Yes I use some RCBS dies and they are very good

I agree there are better lock ring systems but they're sending me some brass plugs for under the set screws.

I haven't stripped any since I figured out to put a lead shot under the screw, I'm just repairing the ones I buggered before I did.

I have been thinking of changing the lock nuts to the Forster type though.

Glad someone gets some service from rcbs. I couldn't get a reply from them to save my life. I regret ever buying their products. Think I'll stick with forrester or Redding from now on. Overhyped crap as far as I'm concerned. I get less issues from my Lee dies at less cost.

I'm slowly doing this but with Hornady rings which have flats so u can use a wrench on them on my LNL AP. Not that I need a whole lot of torque.

You sound so ........ Albertan! Perhaps RCBS regrets providing their products to you.

That's a remarkably ignorant statement. I fail to see how it's unreasonable to expect an organization to provide support for their product when I spent my hard earned money on it. They did not donate their product to me. I merely expressed that the reported customer service is far from a universal experience and that there are other products available that are better engineered and are also worthy of consideration. But you go ahead and keep on trolling.

Warranty service has been excellent for me. Even had problems setting up some of their dies in 204 got immediate help. Must say I like the look and feel of hornady dies better. I have no problem dropping the money on rcbs though.

Have you been using their online customer support? I have had nothing but excellent service with it.

I asked them where I could purchase decapping pins for dies made in '74. They had new ones shipped free to me at my door within three weeks.

Anything die related is nothing less than top notch service.
