rcbs hand primer

I have managed to loose the priming rod from my rcbs hand priming tool. Would someone on here be able to get a measurement of it for me. I am looking for the actual rod that pushes the primer into the primer pocket. I can make one at work ,but i need the dimensions (both diameter and overall length). I could order one, but then i would have to wait for it ,and i would be getting paid to build it soooo can anyone help me out?? Thanks Oz
 
thanks muley. I should have posted the model # mine is the 90200. Its the one with the round primer tray. Do you happen to know which one of the rods it is??
 
On the subject of the RCBS hand primer, not to hijack the thread...but, I have the same tool, the one with the round green primer tray, and having a heck of a time to get the primers to feed consistantly.

2 or 3 will feed then one will jam...I can see it down the 'rod' opening and it seems to catch coming in over the 'rod'. I have to remove the tray, bang the thing around a bit to dislodge the stuck primer and then start over. Bloody annoying! I don't want to pay a $100.00 or so for the Sinclair unit, besides its 'one primer' at a time via hand feed...

Anyone else have this problem? Oh, I have the Lee hand primer as well, its worse!

I have the Lee and the round RCBS and they both work well for me.

Msg RCBS and they'll send you a new rod free.
 
this one seats them alright, and leaves a nice crescent mark in them as well, sort of like a trademark...

I've tried to seat them a little more 'gently...' but is seems there is a very fine line between fully seated, as in 'not protruding', and marked by the 'seating rod'.

I'm talking about the small rifle primers here, brass coloured WW standard.

Oh, and the primer pockets are all reamed, flash holes 'de-bured', and cases polished.
