I got a question for you guys

When I prime my cases with this tool sometimes leaves dent/grove down where the extractor grabs the case. Forget the name of that part at the moment.

Does that happen with you guys too? Its not like Im using much force to set the primers in the cases. What gives? And after a few reloads these dents are getting annoying.

I can try to get a pick of it if you really want to see em.

Yeah it kind of sux

I took a pic with the cell so it aint the best for close range pics

Yeah I got the right shell holder for the priming tool. I even bought a extra one so I wouldnt have to take it out all the time.

Ahh forgot to mention

This is with 3 kinds of brass. Remington, winchester and some other kind that had crimped primers. I got a reamer for those ones, so they should be fine

I've broken the rims off cases before, but that was aluminum cases Lol.

It looks like soft cases, or excessive force when seating, do you have pictures of your seated primers?

My buddy bought a RCBS supreme kit and it had one of their hand primer units.
What a p.o.s.
As much as I don't care for Lee products, their hand primer works flawlessly.

You have all the pieces in that cast piece of junk in correctly?
If so, flog the thing and buy the Lee one.
Best piece of reloading advice yet.

kamalooky - this is the hand primer from the supreme mater kit. agreed that its junk

eddy - Ill compare both of them side by side. I think Ive even changed the around and they do the same thing

billy - yes its 223

thanks guyd for your help

The only thing I can think of that is causing this is the force thats pushing the primers in. Which I dont think is very much

FS: one RCBS hand priming tool. :p

RCBS hand primer is about 2500 rounds new to me and it works flawlessly.
