I have a set of rcbs gold metal match dies for my 6.5x 47 Lapua. I need a little help/ conformation on my bushing size.
Chamber neck is .295
Projectile diameter is .2644
Brass neck thickness .013( average lapua thickness, may neck to .12 for concentricity)
So .2644 + .013(x2) = .2904
Or .2644 + .012(x2) = .2884
According to the rcbs website you then deduct .001 from that so I was planing on purchasing the .287, .288,.289 and .290 bushings for wiggle room and playing with diffrent neck tensions.
Does all this sound correct? Is there anything I'm missing or that I should add? This is my first experience with bushing dies/ precision reloading.
Does .005 or .007 sound like a lot of room between the neck/chamber, is there any way to resolve this( I was plaing on running A expander thru it before I neck turn so that might tighten that up)
Thanks
