I've been using a RCBS little Dandy powder measure . Im looking to
upgrade to a micrometer style. Any pros or cons on the RCBS uniflow over the Lyman 55 ?
Loading pistol with Hp 38 , HS6 , and 700x
Thanks Gary

Huge difference in powder throwers. The RCBS binds up with flake powders. The 55 handles flake powder perfectly. I have a 55 mounted in the corner of my bench and use it just for flake powder - usually 700x or Unique.

Had a RCBS Uniflow and hated it. I found it pretty well useless for extruded powders unless you set it light, and trickle the last grain or 2.
You may want to take a look at the Lee Auto Drum. No binding at all with course powders. And the various tests on YouTube show it compares very favorably against measures costing many times more. I just started using one, and I'm very happy with it.

I have a Lyman 55 powder measure and it measures IMR-700X relatively well. I went to this measure when my Lee Pro Autodisk was not properly measuring 4.5-4.8 gr of powder.

I still have my pro autodisk for titegroup powders.

I'm going to also try the autodrum, on its way from Higginsons.

I agree with everyone else.
I really like my RCBS Uniflow for ball powders like 231 and for small flake powder like Titegroup.
But it is terrible for large flake and extruded powders.

I use an old Lyman 55 for 700X, unique and IMR 8208 XBR. Works great.
